Three days of intensive research on the Lineapelle and in Milan IT shops. Even if the mood is still tense, cautious optimism prevails.
A frenzy of colours and creativity: the collections for summer 2023 are characterised by craftsmanship and, above all, a colourful awakening. The Lineapelle colour palette features many intense blues and purples coexisting with very bright neutrals. With all the imaginative leather finishes and creative weaves, the all-important natural tones did not have an easy time holding their own. They were proportionally underrepresented at the forums.
The important new browns and matt sand and greige tones acted as a calm counterpoint. In addition, bright neon pink, yellow and green as a sharp contrast. Raffia and wickerwork are very strong again, along with new batik techniques and pleated leather. Sustainability continues to prevail, the various certifications, e.g. from LWG, USDA for leather were omnipresent.
The exhibitors at the Lineapelle kicked off the season with courage and enormous creativity. Now it is a question of translating these signals into seductive products. Freshness paired with elegance and artisanal polish are the drivers for Summer 2023.
