New regulation for the visitor tickets
Six years ago, in January 2007, the entrance fee charged up to then to the trade visitors was abolished with the marketing campaign „ACTIVE“.
Since that date, a service team of ca. 25 employees is working throughout the year in the ACTIVE GUEST MANAGEMENT. The AGM staff, mostly native speakers, is at the visitors‘ disposal for all matters related to the registration, as well as for all further questions.
Up to now, all visitors were sent their visitor ticket upfront for free, given they had registered on time. This unparalleled service is funded by a charge that each of the exhibitors pays with the booth rent. This means that in practice, exhibitors invite the trade visitors with their contribution.
In doing so, each exhibitor, each brand, each small label first of all is focussed on the buyer or retailer and of course also on the reporting press. In the end, a tradeshow is about getting the buyer and the retailer enthusiastic about the collections, but finally it is about selling the collections, as well as the initiation of corresponding PR and marketing measures with the reporting press.
Due to its international significance, ‚BREAD & BUTTER – tradeshow for successful brands‘ has advanced to become one of Europe’s most frequented fashion tradeshows. The seasonally held event is an international trade and communication platform for the whole fashion industry, including industry related service contractors and providers.
For the reasons mentioned above BREAD & BUTTER determines the following new regulation, effective already for the July 2013 event:
1. Free entry
This regulation applies to the following visitor groups:
- Retailers and buyers
- Employees and freelancers of the exhibitors
- Agents or agencies of the exhibitors
- Franchisees of the exhibitors
- Distributors of the exhibitors
- PR agencies of the exhibitors
- Press
- National and international textile associations
- Embassies and their commercial attachées
- Interested new exhibitors (are gladly invited on request)
The online registration has already been open for a while for the above mentioned visitors. Visitors may register until 21st June 2013 on the BREAD & BUTTER website www.breadandbutter.com/summer2013/en/visitors/. The respectively labelled entrance ticket will be sent by post to the above as usual for free, if they have registered on time.
2. Entrance fee
BREAD & BUTTER will charge an entrance fee of 500,- € net. for a 3 day ticket, per person, per event.
This regulation applies for the following visitor groups:
- Producers and manufactures (if the manufactory is not owned by the brand)
Companies and persons from the field of textile producing, such as:
- weaving mills
- suppliers of notions
- laundries
- dye-works
- finishing houses, as well as their agents and employees.
The regulation also applies to industry related service providers and suppliers, such as:
- PR and marketing agencies (if they do not work for one of the exhibitors)
- model agencies
- IT providers and the like
- shop fitters
- suppliers of shop equipment
- technical fitters and the like.
Special interest people, such as:
- tradeshow organisers of all industries and their employees
- real estate agents etc.
BREAD & BUTTER asks for the understanding of the visitors now liable to charges for the fact that a contribution to the event will be claimed also from them, since in the end they profit to a great extent from the attendance of business partners and possible future customers. Apart from that, this is the only way to distinguish the relevant business professional from the „tradeshow hopper“.
The above named visitors may order their tickets via the „ACTIVE GUEST MANAGEMENT“:
AGM SERVICE HOTLINE:
+49 (0)30 2000 370
Mo-Fr: 10:00–18:00 Uhr

3. No entry:
This regulation still applies to the following category of people:
- Owners and employees of the so called vertical companies, such as H&M, Inditex, Primark, Uniqlo, Esprit, New Yorker and the like.
This group surely has no intention of buying collections from the exhibitors. Therefore, this category of people is irrelevant for all parties involved with BREAD & BUTTER, and undesired at the event. With all due respect, BREAD & BUTTER asks to please follow the rules. In the case of violation of the rules, BREAD & BUTTER will make use of the householder’s rights.
- Fashion enthusiastic end-consumers
Since BREAD & BUTTER is a trade show, end-consumers can unfortunately not be admitted.
